Our client is a privately owned retirement and aged care facility.
The client required a car park design which protected vehicles, staff, residents and visitors from the sun, as well as providing good visual appeal for the retirement village.

How we met the brief
Cantilevered rolled beams off steel posts with bracing. Custom made shade sail tops fixed to beams.
We met the brief by designing a car park structure of sufficient size and asthetic appeal relevant to the layout of the aged care village. The structure met the strength criteria and the shade sails were customised to fit the structure. A cantilevered rolled arch design was considered best for the application.
Results for the Client
Due to the fragility and immobility of some of the residents, having a shaded carpark has made significant difference to their comfort. Residents, visitors and staff were happy with the result and the job was completed on time and within budget.
